As areas of experimentation (of mise en sc?ne of a "passion" and encounters with a public), personal sites have to be treated as individual learning processes. In this study we focus on music, concentrating on sites that have reached a high degree of maturity in the expression of a passion and in the extent to which the audience is taken into account. We show a wide diversity of approaches to site design, depending on type of music and relationship with it. Creation of a site is characterized by tension between the wish to produce original documents and the necessity of creating new opportunities for contact with the public. Updating the site and managing the network formed around it gradually become more important than proposing lasting content. Passion and public are constituted and adjusted jointly through the site.
