MEN, WOMEN AND MICROCOMPUTERS An ideology of competencies
This article examines the organization of men's and women's relations with this technical object. The aim is to verify the existence of typically masculine and feminine references at the intersection of a quasi-contractual situation and subconscious habits. Drawing on semi-structured interviews with a sample of socially diversified families in the Paris area, the author shows the persistence of a form of gender differentiation without the restoration of inequality.
