CONSTITUTION OF POLES OF CULTURAL AND INFORMATIONAL PRODUCTION?: BETWEEN PROFITS AND INTEGRATION OF INDUSTRIALS BRANCHES

Financial considerations play a key part in drawing together poles of cultural and informational production. Financial actors, as well as the leaders of these poles, have a major interest in such operations. The opportunities that arise are grasped in order to boost profits. Yet in the medium term the players are encouraged to respect industrial logics, especially by focusing on one or two branches. Conglomerates adjust their positions and groups set limits to their international development. Industries that try to articulate entities from different branches (commercial TV and pay TV) experience considerable difficulties, like those that perceived the Internet as the main way of promoting their products.
