The Combination of Communication Tools at the Interface of Customer Relations in Very Small Businesses (VSB)

This article shows how very small businesses (VSBs) combine the use of different communication tools in their customer relations. A survey on VSBs' customer relations shows that the people responsible for answering customers, approaching them, or producing and circulating information on them, rely on technical sequences in which different communication tools are articulated. By examining the pragmatic values attached to these tools, the author shows how such sequences contribute to the development of pluridimensional customer relations involving more than just interpersonal interaction.
