So-called self-publication sites, including blogs, are put on line by means of software tools available either on line or on a server. These tools belong to the CMS (Content Management System) category. They have specific characteristics, signs of which are apparent on the sites produced from them. This article analyses the effects that formatting may have on self-published writings, and possibilities of leeway for their authors.
