Based on the notion of local scenes, this article explains how individuals who have a passion for music, live and produce it within a territory by incorporating similar communities as they go along. To define the role of local scenes, a factor of emergence of musical dynamics, the author first highlights the changes induced by the investment of public policies on culture in the world of amplified musics. He then details the functioning of these local practices which, based on the results of a field survey, he qualifies as 'invisible'?.
