The proliferation of communication media and the convergence of communication and information tools have diversified the integration of ICTs in social practices and added to the complexity of analytical tools used to investigate them. For research methodology, this diversification is a challenge in various fields of study, including sociability, cultural consumption, and uses of new communication technologies. An original research tool, Entrelacs, has been developed to analyse current trends in communication practices. It allows for access to essential data for analysing the intertwining relations between uses of ICT, recreational practices, and sociability.
