Based on an inventory of over 1,000 websites, the author presents both the diversity of the platforms proposed and the way in which their organization differs, depending on the target population. In a scientific context where online dating is generally studied through the most prevalent practices and the largest websites, the aim is to show how Internet users are approached and offered tools tailored to their social characteristics. With the idea that knowledge of the interface is needed for an understanding of its use, the author proposes an analysis of the fields of possibilities marked out by various sites, through the architecture, design and discursive framework used.
