A great deal has been written about the 'Zemmour'? incident, which led to a lawsuit for infamous comments made in public. While the news with its share of drama and conflict has overshadowed this case, causing many to forget about it, the author of this article takes another look at it. Apart from the initial comments made, this case raises the problem of legitimacy of public speech and therefore questions the responsibility of the institutions behind such speech.
