The quest for coherence

On the occasion of the publication of several articles reflecting some of the journal’s main lines of thought (continuation), as well as a new research theme – agile methods for organizing computing work – (prelude), this article presents Réseaux’s editorial policy. It also looks, more broadly, at the role of humanities and social science journals. Are they still necessary in the age of platforms? Are they simply a means of validating research activities? What role do they play in organizing scientific debate? Why does their work receive so little recognition?
