On the occasion of the publication of several articles reflecting some of the journal’s main areas of interest (continuation) as well as a new research theme – agile methods for organizing IT work – (prelude), this article presents Réseaux’s editorial policy and looks more broadly at the role of humanities and social sciences journals. Are they still necessary in the age of platforms? Are they simply a means of validating research activities? What role do they play in organizing scientific debate? Why does their work receive so little recognition?
